Course Description

A number of exercises have been devised so that Trainees, Advance Nurse Practitioners and Consultants in Plastic, ENT and Maxillofacial surgery can complete a variety of facial soft tissue surgery simulations based on the more common skin flap procedures encountered. Delegates will be working individually on pigs head covering the following:
 
Educational aims:
Gain experience by simulating:
- Advancement and Transposition Flaps
- Rhomboid Flap, Bilobed Flap, Rotation Flap
- V-Y Flaps
 
The course provides:
- Instruction in the use of instrumentation
- Physiology of skin healing, ageing and aesthetic lines of the face.
- “Hands on” practical anatomical and surgical skills experience
- An attendance certificate
